Harminder is a Charted Building Engineer with over 14 years’ experience working within the private sector building control.
Prior to Harminder’s position at C3 Design Approvals, he managed a team of commercial surveyors within the Midlands region working for a large Approved Inspector.
Harminder has gained a wealth of experience and technical knowledge in managing the building regulations approval process on projects from across the sectors - including but not limited to, retail, residential, (including 18m + residential schemes), student accommodation, extra care, hotels, large industrial, commercial, educational, hospitals and car parks.
Harminder’s project experience extends to large complex projects adopting fire engineered solutions and specialist facilities. He has been the lead consultant for several major blue chip retail clients, involving multiple applications each year. Harminder provides clients with a consistent approach on technical issues, thereby creating strong client relationships where both parties are trusted.
Harminder endeavours to become fully integrated with the design team as early as possible. This helps him understand the end use of the building and advise the client/ project team on the best way to access the project to help resolve any potential non-compliance issues at design stage.
He is focused on providing a high quality and technically excellent service to help clients achieve their desired design and still satisfy the functional requirements of the building regulations.
Out of the office Harminder would say he enjoys Thai- boxing and boxing, however his hobby seems to be a distant past with his two young children keeping him on his toes now.
In recent years he has become a big fan of DIY projects and his wife seems to think he can fix everything! He is not going to admit it, but he loves a good social gathering and is considered as an influencer at the bar.
